Norwegian prosecutors said on 1 October that they would seek four more weeks of remand detention for Marius Borg Høiby under electronic monitoring at his home in Skaugum. His existing court order allows detention until 5 October. Høiby has consented to the proposed extension, which is expected to be dealt with in writing. [2] [3] [4]
The prosecution cites a continuing risk of further offending. Høiby's lawyer, Alexander Greaker, confirmed his consent and said Høiby considered the police's proposed conditions for release unreasonable, preferring to continue the current arrangement.
