Jordan Bardella, leader of France’s far-right National Rally (RN), said on Tuesday that allegations of antisemitism against him marked the beginning of an “all-out war” intended to destabilise the 2027 presidential campaign. He said the attempts would target party figures one after another. [4]
Investigative outlet Mediapart has attributed antisemitic conspiracy claims about Jewish control of banks and an Israel-dominated world order to Bardella. It says its investigation drew on private exchanges and witness accounts. Reuters reported that the exchanges Mediapart examined dated from 2013 to 2015. Bardella denies writing the remarks and has called the alleged documents crude forgeries. [1][2][3][6]
Bardella said on Monday that he had instructed his lawyer to sue Mediapart for libel. [1]
