Peter Bosz says Ricardo Pepi could start for PSV against Club Brugge on Wednesday after the striker made a substitute appearance at the weekend.

PSV manager Peter Bosz has left open the possibility that striker Ricardo Pepi will start Wednesday’s Champions League match against Club Brugge after the forward returned to action as a substitute at the weekend.
“Pepi is further along than he was three days ago. He has played some minutes. He could play,” Bosz said on Tuesday in Eindhoven. Pepi came on against Willem II on Saturday.
Bosz has almost the same squad available as for that match. Sami Ouaissa, Sam Lammers, Jerdy Schouten and Paul Wanner remain sidelined with longer-term injuries.
He described Club Brugge as a difficult opponent. The Belgian side lead their domestic league and are 14th in a ranking of Europe’s best clubs over recent years, according to Bosz. “They are not there for nothing. You get there if you perform consistently in Europe,” he said.
Kick-off at the Philips Stadion is scheduled for 21:00 on Wednesday.
