The Dutch singer said she would understand a return to music for her former fellow Voice coach, but criticised messages he sent to a teenager.

Anouk said she would understand if Marco Borsato returned to making music, saying he would naturally want to work again. Speaking to RTL Boulevard in comments reported by Nieuws.nl on 30 September, she described herself as forgiving and said she considered him essentially acquitted. The two singers previously worked as coaches on The Voice of Holland. [1]
Her sympathy came with a qualification. Anouk said that, as a mother, aspects of Borsato’s court case still troubled her. She felt that certain messages he sent to a teenager had crossed a line. [1]
Nieuws.nl reported that Borsato had earlier said he wanted to use 2026 to recharge and had not ruled out performing again. During his court case, however, he said he did not know whether he would ever be able to do so. [1]
