Visitors were told to leave Legoland Windsor after a burst water main disrupted its water supply. Repairs were still under way on Sunday.
Review information is loading.
Visitors were told to leave rides and exit Legoland Windsor around lunchtime on Sunday, 11 October, after a burst water main forced the theme park to close, the BBC reported. [1]
Thames Water said it had shut off the damaged main near St Leonards Reservoir to prevent flooding, affecting the park’s water supply. According to the BBC, some nearby residents’ gardens had reportedly been flooded, and Thames Water had apologised for the disruption. The BBC also reported that one visitor from Cornwall said she and her children had reached the front of a ride queue when it stopped; they later drove home after staying overnight at a hotel. [1]
Thames Water said supplies had been restored but repairs were continuing, with an update due on Monday. Merlin Entertainments said the resort remained closed while normal service was restored. The BBC reported that it was expected to reopen with normal operating hours on Monday, 12 October. [1]
