Maike Meijer’s comedy has passed 250,000 admissions in two weeks, putting it on course to reach the 400,000 needed for a Platinum Film award.

The Dutch comedy *Wen er maar aan* has drawn more than 250,000 cinema-goers in its first two weeks, a milestone that distributor Dutch FilmWorks says is rarely reached so quickly by a Dutch film. [1]
Starring Maike Meijer, who adapted her own book for the film, the comedy follows a 50-year-old actress dealing with the menopause and feeling that the industry no longer wants her. Bas Hoeflaak, Bianca Krijgsman, Hadewych Minis and Beppie Melissen also star. [1]
If the film keeps up its current pace, it could soon pass 400,000 admissions and qualify for a Platinum Film award. The last such award was presented in early 2024, according to Nieuws.nl. [1]
