Gita Salden is set to take charge of supervision at the Dutch central bank next March, with banking oversight among her responsibilities.
Review information is loading.
De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) announced on 6 October that board member Gita Salden would become chair of supervision on 1 March 2027. She will succeed Steven Maijoor, who DNB says will leave that day. Banking supervision will be among her responsibilities in the new role. [1]
Salden currently oversees pension funds, insurers and integrity supervision on DNB’s board. She joined the bank in 2024 after serving as chief executive of BNG Bank. Earlier, she held senior roles at the Dutch Ministry of Finance, including deputy treasurer-general and director of Financial Markets. [1]
DNB’s supervisory board has begun recruiting a new director for pension and insurance supervision. Its announcement did not name a replacement. [1]
