The Prince and Princess of Wales met Sir Kevin Sinfield during his seven-day challenge to raise money for motor neurone disease charities.

Prince William and Catherine visited Sir Kevin Sinfield in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, on Tuesday as he continued a fundraising run for motor neurone disease (MND) charities. They also spoke with families affected by MND about how fundraising projects had helped them. Earlier, the couple visited the Leeds Rhinos’ home ground and met young players. [1]
Sinfield aims to run seven ultra marathons in seven days between Hull and Manchester. The challenge was inspired by his former teammate Rob Burrow, who died from MND in 2024. Sinfield says this will be his final fundraising challenge. BBC News reports that he has raised more than £11m for MND causes since his first challenge in 2020. [1]
William and Catherine made a private donation to the fundraising effort; its amount and recipient were not disclosed. Sinfield is due to finish at Old Trafford in Manchester on Saturday, ahead of the Super League Grand Final. [1]
