Ipswich Witches have been selected to host FIM Speedway World Championships racing at Foxhall Stadium on 13 and 14 August 2027. The two-day event will bring international competition to the Suffolk club’s home track. [1]
Under-21 riders are due to compete on the Friday. The club expects Saturday’s racing to feature six-time world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik and Great Britain’s Robert Lambert, although it has not announced a final entry list. [1]
Chairman Richard Coleman hopes the event will help the Witches build on their 2025 league title. He said it could create an opportunity for investment that would be difficult to justify through the league club alone. [1]
Tickets will be released later, the club said. It has not given an on-sale date. [1]
