Kieran Hayler, Katie Price’s former husband, has been acquitted of raping and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl following a trial at Lewes Crown Court.
The 39-year-old denied the charges, which related to alleged offences in West Sussex in 2016. The jury found him not guilty of three counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and four alternative counts of sexual activity with a child, the BBC reported.
Hayler told the court he believed the allegations were fabricated. He also claimed Price had launched a campaign against him after their marriage broke down. Price denied being angry and vengeful towards her ex-husband.
The jury, comprising four men and six women, deliberated for 14 hours and 55 minutes before reaching its verdict. Price and Hayler separated in 2018 and divorced in 2021.
