One person was injured in a shooting at the NDSM quay in Amsterdam-Noord, in the north of the Dutch capital, on Friday afternoon, 25 September. Police said both the suspect and the person they described as the victim had been arrested, ANP reported. [1]
Police received a report of the shooting at around 15:05 local time and were investigating at the scene that afternoon. [1]
The incident also disrupted a ferry service across the IJ from Amsterdam Centraal station. The ferry was temporarily diverted to Distelweg instead of its usual landing at the NDSM quay, ANP reported, citing Amsterdam newspaper Het Parool. [1]
