The European Commission will examine ways to make transport fuel cheaper, Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen said after a meeting with EU energy ministers in Dublin. He called fuel costs a significant concern for citizens and said they affected much of the economy. He gave no timetable or details of possible measures. [1]
Jørgensen said there was no immediate risk to Europe’s energy supply this coming winter, although prices were expected to remain high. He urged the Commission and member states to take a flexible, pragmatic approach to tackling those costs. [1]
