Sarah J. Maas has taken the top spot in this week’s UK Bestseller 60 with her new novel, ‘A Court of Shattered Harmonies’, while a second edition of the book and another title by the author have also entered the chart.
The softcover edition is at number one and the more expensive hardback is eighth. Maas’s ‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ returns to the list at number 59. The chart is published by the Dutch book-industry organisation CPNB.
It is the first time Maas, an American author of romantasy, has placed a book in the top three, according to CPNB. She has now had ten titles appear in the list.
Ethan Mollick and Alexander Klöpping’s ‘Co-Intelligence’ enters at number two, while Mel Wallis de Vries’s ‘Insane’ debuts at number three.
CPNB said appearances on the television programme *Eva* may have helped bring several other books into the chart. Herman Koch’s ‘The Unneeded’ returned at 36 after he was interviewed by Eva Jinek. Connie Palmen’s ‘Johnny Walker’ rose 20 places to ninth after being discussed on the programme’s book-club segment. Judith Fanto’s ‘Narcissus’, which entered earlier, remains at 25.
