Admission is free, but everyone, including small children, needs a ticket. The National Park Service will distribute timed tickets, one per person, on a first-come, first-served basis from 8.30am each tour day. They will be available at a tent outside the White House Visitor Center at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC. [1]
Backpacks and bags exceeding 18 × 13 × 7 inches are prohibited, as are drones and electronic tablets. Cameras, pushchairs and wheelchairs are permitted. Visitors bringing medically necessary items, including electric scooters, are asked to identify them to Secret Service personnel on arrival. [1]
Bad weather may lead to cancellation. Visitors can check the tour status on the White House’s 24-hour information line, (202) 456-7040, and find further campus-access information at WhiteHouse.gov/Visit. [1]
