Kim Kardashian returns for second series of widely panned drama *All’s Fair*

Kim Kardashian has returned for a second series of *All’s Fair* after the legal drama’s first run was widely mocked by critics but drew a large audience, telling the BBC she had chosen to adapt to the reaction rather than walk away.

The series, created by Ryan Murphy, follows a group of divorce lawyers played by Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash-Betts. Critics attacked the acting, with the Times calling it “the worst TV drama ever”; the show also became Hulu’s most-watched scripted series debut in three years and was quickly renewed.

“We’re a full comedy now,” Kardashian said, describing how the writers had responded to the audience’s reaction. Watts, who also produces the show, said its second series would build on the “high fashion, high drama and heightened reality” viewers had enjoyed. She praised Kardashian’s progress as an actor, saying she was “stepping up in the second season”.

Kardashian also said she would continue trying to qualify as a lawyer after failing an exam following six years of study. She plans to speak less publicly about her studies until she passes, she told the BBC.
