Raye says suspected fake registrations led to a manual shortlist for her Royal Albert Hall ticket presale.
Review information is loading.
Raye said the sign-up list for her one-off Royal Albert Hall concert on 23 October had been reviewed by hand before the ticket presale. She accused ticket touts of using AI bots to create “hundreds of thousands of fake registrations”. [1]
The singer put the total number of sign-ups at 1.8 million for a show with 5,000 seats. She said the review produced a shortlist of people believed to be genuine fans, rather than opening the presale to everyone who had registered. [1]
Raye said those selected would be emailed a presale link and code at 11.45 BST on Tuesday 13 October, with remaining tickets available in a general sale. A Royal Albert Hall spokesperson said the venue invests heavily in protecting its ticketing systems from automated attacks, but argued that the law needs to catch up with ticket touting. [1]
