Stellantis says it will recruit hundreds of engineers this year, even as rivals Volkswagen and Renault plan workforce reductions.
Review information is loading.
Stellantis plans to hire hundreds of additional engineers this year across Europe and the United States, its head of engineering and technology, Ned Curic, said at a motor show in Paris. The move contrasts with job cuts planned by Volkswagen and Renault.
“There is room to grow; I am hiring,” Curic said. Stellantis, which owns brands including Opel, Citroën and Fiat, announced a strategy in May aimed at improving profitability. It plans to invest about €60 billion by 2030 and introduce dozens of new models, according to the company’s announcement as reported by Nieuws.nl. [1]
Volkswagen plans to cut about 15 per cent of its workforce worldwide. Renault said in April that it would reduce engineering jobs by up to 20 per cent. [1]
