Queen Mathilde of Belgium has met Holocaust survivor Tatiana Bucci at the Royal Palace in Brussels, the Belgian royal court said in a photograph shared on Instagram, according to Nieuws.nl. [1]
Bucci, who was born in Croatia, was deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau when she was six. She has lived in Belgium since 1964 and, for many years, has spoken to school pupils about her experiences during the Second World War. She also accompanies student groups on visits to the former camp in Poland, Nieuws.nl reported. [1]
