King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima visited Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven privately, away from the press, according to Nieuws.nl. Dutch designer Ineke Otte said she met the royal couple during the visit and shared photographs on Instagram. [1]
Otte described the encounter as “a lovely spontaneous meeting”. One photograph shows her with the Queen; another shows the King and Queen receiving an explanation through headphones. Fashion journalist Josine Droogendijk has reported that Máxima previously met Otte and received a necklace made from mussels from the designer. [1]
Máxima has shown interest in Dutch Design Week on previous occasions, both publicly and privately. She opened last year’s event, which showcases designs across a range of categories. [1]
