Demi Vollering retained the women’s European road race title in Slovenia, breaking clear for a solo victory a week after becoming world champion.

Vollering attacked on the final ascent of Možjanca and rode alone for the last 15 kilometres to the finish in Šenčur. It was her first race in the rainbow jersey since winning the world title in Montreal a week earlier. [1]
Puck Pieterse won the sprint for silver from the chasing group, ahead of Switzerland’s Marlen Reusser. Kasia Niewiadoma missed that sprint after a crash. [1]
ANP reports that it was the Netherlands’ 10th title in 11 editions of the women’s European road race. Vollering is the first rider to retain the title; Lorena Wiebes previously won it twice, in 2022 and 2024. [1]
