More than 30,000 tickets had been sold for the family musical *Juf Braaksel* before its premiere in Haarlem, earning the production a Gouden Ticket Award, its producer announced on Sunday. [1]
Based on books by Dutch author Carry Slee, the show features Sander van Voorst tot Voorst as the strict headteacher Juf Braaksel. Its story follows four children who investigate when they realise something is wrong at their school, with help from the audience.
Producer Rick Engelkes called the advance sales “a great start” and said families could now experience Juf Braaksel together in the theatre, following the books and films. The production began a nationwide theatre tour this month. [1]
