The WTA says women and men will receive equal prize money at every combined WTA and ATP 1000 tournament from 2027, extending parity to three more events.

The change will bring the Canadian Open, Cincinnati Open and Italian Open into line with other combined 1000 tournaments that already offer equal prize money, Dutch news agency ANP reported. [1]
The 1000 tournaments are the highest category below the Grand Slams. The Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and US Open already pay women and men equal prize money. [1]
Prize-money differences remain at smaller tournaments, so the 2027 change will not bring parity across professional tennis. [1]
