At a campaign rally for the US midterm elections in South Carolina, supporters and opponents of Donald Trump exchanged blows, according to Dutch news agency ANP. The incident came as Trump was repeatedly interrupted during his speech and heckled by people in the crowd.
People were removed from the audience, the report said. One person called Trump a “traitor”; another shouted, “Release the Epstein files.” The account does not say how many people were involved or whether anyone was injured.
Trump was campaigning for Darline Graham, the sister of the late senator Lindsey Graham, who is running against Democrat Annie Andrews. During the rally, Trump used the insult “tranny Annie” for Andrews, who supports gender-affirming care.
