Some 44,026 people in the Netherlands had a 30 September birthday in 2025, putting the date top of a ranking drawn from municipal registrations.

September had more birthdays than any other month in the group counted by CBS. Eight of the ten most common birth dates fell late in September, while 2 and 3 May completed the top ten. After leap day, New Year’s Day was the least common birthday, shared by 31,300 people. [1]
The pattern differs by generation: people born from 1980 onwards were relatively more likely to have summer or late-summer birthdays, while those born between 1940 and 1980 showed a spring peak. CBS adjusted its monthly comparisons for the different lengths of months. [1]
That birthday ranking is different from a count of babies born in 2025. The busiest birth date that year was Tuesday 16 September, when 565 children were born; all ten of the year’s busiest birth dates fell on weekdays. [1]
