FC Twente can move above Ajax in the Eredivisie table when the sides meet in Enschede. The teams are separated by a single point, and coach John van den Brom expects an open contest between two closely matched sides.
Ajax are second, one point behind leaders Feyenoord. Twente are a further point back and would overtake Ajax with a win.
Twente arrive after a 9-0 league victory over Excelsior on Sunday and a 3-1 win over Pafos in the Conference League on Thursday. Van den Brom said Ajax were likely to attack more than Pafos, who had defended deep, and that his team had prepared for the difference.
Lars Unnerstall, Stav Lemkin, Max Bruns and Filip Thorvaldsen are unavailable, the club said. Van den Brom described them as players who had been injured for some time.
