Linda de Mol says the broadcasters have commissioned scripts for a ninth season of *Gooische Vrouwen*, but a series will go ahead only if the forthcoming eighth season attracts good viewing figures.
“We have indeed received a writing commission from the broadcasters for a ninth series,” De Mol, the show’s creator and lead actor, told *De Telegraaf*, according to Nieuws.nl. She said the continuation would depend on the new season’s ratings, which she expected to be good. [1]
The first episode of season eight is due to air on SBS6 on Sunday and is already available on Videoland. De Mol has previously told the ANP news agency that she was writing a new season. She has also said she would like to make a third *Gooische Vrouwen* film. [1]
The series returned in 2024 with its sixth season, bringing back regular cast members De Mol, Susan Visser, Tjitske Reidinga and Lies Visschedijk. [1]
