A fault has left the Calandbrug stuck half open, closing it to road traffic and blocking shipping beneath it. ProRail says the cause and repair timetable remain unclear.

The Calandbrug in Rotterdam’s Botlek area is closed to road traffic and shipping after a fault left its movable section stuck half open. ProRail says it does not yet know how long repairs will take, leaving drivers to take a diversion and vessels unable to pass beneath the bridge. [1]
The bridge has been unusable since Monday morning. ProRail says the fault may be in one of the four supporting piers. A contractor and maintenance workers were investigating on Monday afternoon, but the cause had not been established. [1]
Earlier this month, the bridge was closed to road traffic for several days because lasers were giving incorrect measurements. The Calandbrug, a former railway bridge, is managed by ProRail. [1]
