Forest Green said Savage would not be in the dugout for Tuesday night’s home game against Wealdstone. The club he has permission to speak to has not been named, though he has been linked with the vacant manager’s job at Peterborough United. [1]
Peterborough dismissed Luke Williams on 19 September. They were 23rd in League One at the time of the report, with one win from eight league games. Asked on Saturday about possible contact from Peterborough, Savage told BBC Radio Gloucestershire he did not know whether there had been any. [1]
Savage took charge of Forest Green in July 2025 and led them to seventh place last season before a play-off eliminator defeat. They were 12th after 10 matches this season, with four wins, two draws and four defeats. [1]
