Emily Osment says she requested an intimacy coordinator for Young Sheldon scenes

Emily Osment says she asked for an intimacy coordinator while filming kissing scenes for *Young Sheldon*, after feeling uncomfortable about the age gap between her and co-star Montana Jordan.

Osment was 30 and Jordan, who played George Cooper, was 18 when they filmed the series’ early scenes together. “That made me uncomfortable. He was still a child!” she said, according to a new book about the making of the show by Jessica Radloff.

Osment said she raised the issue with a producer, who arranged for an intimacy coordinator to be present. “It made everything easier having someone there. I think that’s really important,” she said.

She added that she did not know whether Jordan realised he could ask for that support, and wanted him to have the option to feel comfortable on set. The pair play Mandy and George in *Young Sheldon* and its spin-off, *Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage*.
