Barcelona will have Eric García and Andreas Christensen back from injury for Sunday’s La Liga match away to Atlético Madrid, but Jules Koundé and Rodri are unavailable, according to a report by Nieuws.nl citing the squad announcement by coach Hansi Flick.
Flick has not said whether Frenkie de Jong or Marc Bernal will take Rodri’s place in midfield. De Jong played as a centre-back in Barcelona’s previous match, against Deportivo Alavés, the report said.
Barcelona lead La Liga by two points over Atlético ahead of the meeting. Atlético striker Julián Álvarez is also in the spotlight: the report says he was open to joining Barcelona last summer, but Atlético would not agree to a move to their rivals.
