The horror films *Obsession* and *Backrooms* led the winners at this year’s Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, with five prizes for *Obsession* and three for *Backrooms*.
*Obsession* won best director for Curry Barker and best actor for Inde Navarette. *Backrooms* took best film, cinematography and music.
The awards also introduced a prize for best dog performance in a horror film. It went to Indy, the retriever in *Good Boy*, whose character protects his ill owner from supernatural creatures. Actress Dee Wallace, who starred in the 1983 horror film *Cujo*, presented the award.
The ceremony took place in Los Angeles and was hosted by actor Devon Sawa. Fangoria has presented the annual awards for horror and thriller films and television series since 1992.
