Maastricht has surpassed a Dutch weather-station record for 29 September, but a separate reading at De Bilt determines the official record for the date.

The temperature in Maastricht reached 28.1C at 2.20pm on Tuesday, Weeronline said in an ANP report carried by Nieuws.nl. That is 0.1C above the previous highest reading at a Dutch weather station on 29 September: 28.0C, recorded in Winterswijk in 1934. [1]
The official record for 29 September is determined by the temperature at De Bilt, the Netherlands’ main weather station. Its record for the date is 25.4C, also set in 1934. At the time of the report, Tuesday had not been declared officially the warmest 29 September. [1]
