Lawson retired from the Baku race after contact with Lindblad at a safety-car restart. Hinchcliffe told the F1 Nation podcast that Lawson’s frustrated radio response was an immediate reaction to the incident and should not count against him when Racing Bulls decides its 2027 seats. His remarks were reported by RacingNews365 on 29 September. [1]
RacingNews365 says Lawson has scored more than 55% of Racing Bulls’ points this season. It describes Lindblad as expected to retain his seat, while Lawson’s position remains less clear. Hinchcliffe nevertheless predicted that the pairing would stay together next year. [1]
Racing driver Alex Brundle, speaking in the same podcast discussion, also praised Lawson’s season. Both assessments are opinions about a line-up Racing Bulls has yet to confirm. [1]
