Friday’s finale of Dutch quiz show *De slimste mens* will include a tribute to Paulien Cornelisse, with presenter Herman van der Zandt introducing a montage of the late writer and comedian’s remarks, KRO-NCRV has told the ANP news agency.
Cornelisse died aged 50 in late September from cancer. The programme had already been recorded, so she continued to appear as head of the jury in recent weeks. KRO-NCRV decided, after consulting her family, to broadcast the season as planned, Nieuws.nl reported.
The tribute will be a further remembrance in the series: Van der Zandt also paid tribute at the start of the first episode shown after her death, saying, “We will miss her enormously.”
