Bonaire residents report greater satisfaction with their island’s cultural offer than residents of Sint Eustatius and Saba, new CBS figures show.
Review information is loading.
Almost three quarters of Bonaire residents say they are satisfied with the island’s cultural offer, compared with 50% on Sint Eustatius and 38% on Saba, figures published by Statistics Netherlands (CBS) show. [1]
Cultural attendance also varied across the three islands. In the 2025 figures, 54% of Bonaire residents aged 15 or over had attended a performance or show at least once in the preceding 12 months. The equivalent shares were 41% on Sint Eustatius and 26% on Saba. Performances featuring traditional or Caribbean music and dance were the most popular type listed on each island. Events attended could also have taken place elsewhere. [1]
Library visits showed a different pattern: 22% of Saba residents aged 15 or over had visited one at least once in the preceding 12 months, compared with 19% on Bonaire and 9% on Sint Eustatius. [1]
