Dutch comedy *Wen Er Maar Aan* has reached 400,000 cinema admissions, earning the Platina Film award. It is the first Dutch film in almost three years to reach the threshold, distributor Dutch FilmWorks said on Wednesday.
The film welcomed its 400,000th visitor on Tuesday evening, according to Nieuws.nl. It is based on Maike Meijer’s 2020 book of the same name; Meijer wrote the screenplay and stars as an actress who suddenly enters menopause and has to change how she lives.
The previous Platina Films were awarded in January 2024, when *Bon Bini Bangkok Nights* and *Tattas 2* each reached at least 400,000 admissions. *Wen Er Maar Aan* is the eighth Dutch film to achieve the status since the Covid-19 pandemic.
