Cindy Crawford and family remember Presley Gerber in tribute

Cindy Crawford, her husband Rande Gerber and their daughter Kaia have paid tribute to Presley Gerber in a family message reported by Nieuws.nl on 18 October. Presley, who was also a model, died on 20 September aged 27. [1] [2]

“We are heartbroken to be without our beloved son and brother,” the family said, according to Nieuws.nl’s Dutch-language account of the message (translated from Dutch). They said they were grateful for the 27 years they had with Presley and remembered his kindness and vulnerability. [1]

The tribute is a new personal message, but not the family’s first public response to his death. A representative for Crawford and Rande Gerber confirmed it in September and said the family was asking for privacy. [2]

Santa Monica police said at the time that they were investigating a suspected overdose. The medical examiner had not determined a cause of death when the Associated Press reported on the case on 21 September; Nieuws.nl said on 18 October that no cause had been officially announced. [2] [1]
