Slayyyter cancels Copenhagen and Hamburg shows after losing her voice

American singer Slayyyter has cancelled concerts in Copenhagen and Hamburg after losing her voice, days after performing at Amsterdam’s Paradiso. She says doctors advised her to call off the shows so she can recover.

“I’ve completely lost my voice and the doctors are advising me to cancel the Copenhagen and Hamburg shows,” Slayyyter, whose real name is Catherine Garner, wrote on Instagram, according to Nieuws.nl.

The 30-year-old said she was “devastated” and had wanted to perform, but could not put on a good show. She apologised to fans and said her tour was due to resume in Warsaw on the 24th, if she had time to recover. Ticket-holders can seek refunds from the point of purchase, Nieuws.nl reported.

Slayyyter performed at Paradiso on Monday. Nieuws.nl said reviewers there had already noted that she was nearly losing her voice. The singer is currently on a world tour and recently announced a concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden next June.
