US investment firm KKR and German energy group RWE have joined forces over a possible bid for Uniper, ANP reports, citing a Bloomberg account based on unnamed sources. It is unclear whether the pair have submitted an offer or what stake and price they might seek. [1]
Germany began a sale process for the nationalised energy company in May. Bloomberg also reported that Norway’s Equinor and a consortium of Brookfield Asset Management and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board had made non-binding bids. [1]
