The non-league club is due to play Al Qadsia during a five-day trip that it hopes will strengthen its commercial links with Kuwait.

Salisbury FC are on a five-day visit to Kuwait, with a match against Al Qadsia scheduled for Wednesday. They are due to return to England on Thursday before facing Dulwich Hamlet in the FA Cup third qualifying round on Saturday. The club hopes the trip will help it grow commercially. [1]
The visit builds on Salisbury’s connection with Kuwait through owner Ali Alhamad, who bought the club in 2025. Four of its sponsors are Kuwaiti, and its official Arabic-language Instagram account has more than 14,000 followers, only slightly fewer than its English-language account. Ticket and advertising income from the trip is set to go to Salisbury. [1]
Alhamad told BBC Sport that “Salisbury in Kuwait is bigger than many of the Premier League teams in the UK”. A small group of fans greeted the squad on arrival, although English non-league football remains little known in Kuwait despite interest in the Premier League. [1]
