Tallon Griekspoor is out of the China Open after a three-set first-round defeat to Andrey Rublev in Beijing.

Griekspoor was broken early in the opening set, which Rublev won 6–4. The Dutchman levelled the match by breaking in the 12th game of the second set. Neither player broke serve in the decider, and Rublev took the tiebreak 8–6. Griekspoor was ranked 55th and Rublev 24th at the time of the match. [1]
Rublev’s 6–4, 5–7, 7–6 (8–6) win sets up a meeting with fellow Russian Roman Safiullin. Griekspoor also lost in the first round at Chengdu the previous week. [1]
