NOS presenter Annechien Steenhuizen is returning to work gradually and is not yet back full-time, the Dutch broadcaster says. She appeared on its 8pm news bulletin on Thursday for the first time since 2024.
A NOS spokesperson said Steenhuizen was building up her work “gradually”. The broadcaster has not said why she stopped working, adding that it would not comment on private circumstances and respected her right to privacy.
Steenhuizen has been one of the regular presenters of the NOS’s 8pm bulletin since 2013. She also presented the NTR art programme Project Rembrandt; Merel Westrik took over in recent years and will present its forthcoming fifth season.
