Radio Veronica DJs Gerard Ekdom, Frank van der Lende, Rob Stenders and Giel Beelen are organising a weekend away for ten groups of friends at EuroParcs Hindeloopen, the station announced on Monday. The event, called the National Friends Weekend, will run from 6 to 8 November. [1]
The DJs plan to host activities including a barbecue and an evening party, and to broadcast from the site. “It’s always such a hassle to organise a friends’ weekend. So we’ve decided to pick one weekend and proclaim it the National Friends Weekend,” Van der Lende said. [1]
Groups can enter by submitting a song often played among their friends. If it comes on Radio Veronica, they will have one minute to call the studio and win the weekend away. [1]
