King Willem-Alexander is due to visit an asylum reception centre in Leersum on 27 October to meet people living and working there.

The Dutch government information service (RVD) announced the planned visit on 1 October, Nieuws.nl reported. The RVD said more than 500 people were being accommodated at the centre. [1]
The king is expected to tour the site and speak with residents and staff. His programme also includes a workshop where donated bicycles are refurbished and sold, and the centre’s primary school, where he is due to meet children living there. [1]
He is also due to meet volunteers, local residents and politicians to discuss their work and efforts to build support for the centre within the municipality. [1]
