Marc Márquez won the MotoGP sprint at the Japanese Grand Prix, closing to within seven points of championship leader Jorge Martín. Martín started on pole at Motegi, but Márquez passed the Aprilia rider in the opening corners and went on to win on his Ducati. [1]
Martín crossed the line second but was moved down to third after going off track on the final lap. Brazil’s Diogo Moreira was promoted to second. [1]
