Japan’s emperor and empress met people affected by the Kumamoto earthquake, two months after it struck the region.

Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako visited Kumamoto on Wednesday to meet people affected by an earthquake in the region two months earlier, Nieuws.nl reported, citing Kyodo News. [1]
Kumamoto governor Takashi Kimura briefed the couple on the situation. They also visited a municipal office in nearby Yatsushiro. Bad weather had delayed the visit from Tuesday to Wednesday. [1]
