Ellen DeGeneres says she misses TV work and is considering UK projects

Ellen DeGeneres says she misses working on television and is considering doing some projects in the UK, where she now lives.

The former US talk-show host made the comments as a guest on *The Graham Norton Show*. “I actually have nothing to do and I miss being on television so much,” she said, according to *People*. She added that she missed laughing with writers and the audience, then joked that it seemed easy to get on television in Britain. [1]

DeGeneres hosted *The Ellen DeGeneres Show* for 19 seasons, from 2003 until its final episode in 2022. In 2025, she told the BBC she was open to the idea of a talk show in the UK, according to Nieuws.nl. [1]

The programme had faced scrutiny in its later years after current and former staff shared accounts of an unpleasant atmosphere behind the scenes. [1]
