Dense fog prompted a morning traffic warning in five Dutch provinces on Friday, 2 October.

The Dutch weather agency KNMI issued a code-yellow warning for dense fog in Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Overijssel and Utrecht from 6am to 9am on Friday. Poor visibility could affect traffic. [1]
Motoring organisation ANWB said patches of fog could also occur elsewhere in the country, except in the south. Its broader outlook did not extend the five-province weather warning. [1]
Weather service Weeronline reported visibility of 99 metres in Eelde, in Drenthe, and expected the fog to clear after sunrise. [1]
