PSV manager Peter Bosz said he was “shocked” by the death of Spanish footballer Jesús de Miguel, who died in hospital on Tuesday after colliding with FC Andorra’s goalkeeper the previous day.
De Miguel, a forward for CD Tenerife, was 30. Bosz said he had read the news on his way to PSV and that the death had been a topic of conversation among those around him.
“I read it this morning just before getting in the car to go to PSV. It makes you stop and think, because it hardly ever happens. He was 30. Everyone is talking about it,” Bosz said at a press conference in Eindhoven ahead of PSV’s Champions League match against Club Brugge. (Translated from Dutch.)
