Aryna Sabalenka was knocked out of the China Open in the third round, losing 6–4, 6–3 to Czech player Nikola Bartůňková in Beijing. Sabalenka was ranked world No 2 and Bartůňková No 34, ANP reported in a dispatch carried by Nieuws.nl. [1]
Bartůňková, 20, said she had focused on herself and tried to stay calm. She called Sabalenka a legend and said she was happy to have won. [1]
